Debra is the Director of after school and summer arts programming at two elementary schools in Arvada, Colorado.  She writes poetry, fiction, children's books and plays and has poetry in The Cortland Review, Margie Review: The American Journal of Poetry and her short play, A Case of Good Scents was included in the Playwright's Festival of the Western Region. Debra earned a BFA in professional acting from East Carolina University.

Consistent writing practice and quality feedback are essential to the craft of writing.  In this class, you will explore several methods of free writing, practice writing and the art of participating in a writers’ critique group.  Learn how to create a consistent writing schedule you can live with and how to give and receive effective feedback in a group.
